During a child's time in pre-school they will have access to forest school sessions. Our site is situated in woodland on Milby Primary School grounds.
Forest School is an outdoor learning experience in a woodland setting. Children experience an inspirational environment that builds on their self-esteem , confidence and being active and healthy. The sessions are long term (4-6 weekly), so the children get to know the rules, boundaries and the environment well. The sessions are run by our trained forest school leaders who hold a level 3 certificate and an Outdoor First Aid Certificate.
Children will participate in a variety of activities including bug hunts, tree climbing, learning about plants and trees, bush craft, using tools, toasting and cooking on camp fires etc.
